Author Biography

Nan Prodan is a new fiction author who published her first book at the age of 69. She was born in Chicago to an immigrant father and mother. She left college to marry her grade school sweetheart. Putting her life's dream of being a writer and author on the back burner, Nan spent her life making cold sales calls. That job taught her to be candid, sometimes unbelieveable funny and frank.

Later in life, she and her husband traveled the islands of the Caribbean and Mexico on their boat. They traveled with two dogs that made for some tender times and memories and good stories.
Nan writes about places and people. Her characters are ficticious in the backdrop of her travels. But some things you just can't make up!

Soon to be published is the second in the "Tom and Meg Trumbo" series. Oh Mexico.

Watch the Video-It is the video of Tom and Meg Trumbo's early morning trip to Mexico. It was 4 a.m. when the Dolphins jumped behind their boat and before they met tragedy.

Forgotten Journey: Every Man's Dream - Every Wife's Nightmare is a romantic novel of suspense written by Nan Prodan. Tom and Meg Trumbo did everything together including their sea-going adventures, and Tom had skippered Tori’s Seacret for hundreds of miles. He had spent the last three years plotting their next course and discussing the upcoming trip with other captains. Tom was excited and raring for another adventure, but Meg, if she had her choice in the matter, would have passed this one up. Tom’s need to have this adventure meant they would be going from Key West to the Isla Mujeres, by coastal Yucatan. She had prevailed upon him to at least hire a captain for the trip, but that had ultimately failed, and early the next morning they set off on their new adventure.

Forgotten Journey follows the experiences of Tom and Meg after a massive rogue wave threatens to flip over Tori’s Seacret. The reader can’t help but get involved in Meg’s challenges. After basically being Tom’s first mate, she is now the captain and in charge of setting a course and making decisions with little hope of recovering her husband of thirty years and her dog. Watching as she reaches into reservoirs of strength she never knew about is inspiring. The plot also tracks the adventures of Tom and Bitti, who’ve been rescued by the heiress Mariana Wells, aboard her 150-foot yacht, the Moet. Tom has amnesia after the wave and becomes a part of Mariana’s crew with no memory of his wife and their ship. Can Meg find Tom again, and will he recover his memory? Nan Prodan’s plot is intriguing, and her characters are finely drawn and believable. And while the book is written for romance readers, it will appeal to fans of maritime adventure as well. Forgotten Journey: Every Man's Dream - Every Wife's Nightmare is well written and fun to read. It’s most highly recommended.
