Four from Peoria by Andrew Durant can be aptly classified as paranormal with powerful hints of a psychological thriller. A successful Wall Street broker, Jim, has suffered from realistic dreams for a long time. When he has a dream of murdering a man and it turns out that Dr. Livingston is murdered, he becomes obsessed with getting answers. Seeking help from Dr. Linda Welch will take Jim and Linda through an adventure fraught with danger and uncertainty. They travel to Ohio, where the victim was murdered, to uncover the truth behind the murder, but then a powerful enemy is determined to keep them from Dr. Livingston’s work. They’ll have to risk it all or live with an unsolved mystery, but the only problem is that they are too involved to turn back and the stakes are too high for the truth to be sacrificed.

Suspenseful and filled with unusual twists, Four from Peoria is a psychologically strong story with characters that will keep readers riveted. The writing is impeccable and the author weaves vivid images into the compelling descriptions. The story begins on a solstice night with a sense of solitude that blends seamlessly with the night, a perfect atmosphere for murder. The character of Anthony in the opening chapter creates a sense of mystery that accompanies the reader throughout the narrative. What did he want the files for? What is the condition he is referring to? The characters are well developed and both psychologically and emotionally rich. The protagonist has an unusual psychological condition and the reader wants to understand the connections between his dreams, his subconscious mind, and reality. Andrew Durant has created a story with a fast pace and strong plot lines, weaving together psychological themes with murder and adventure. You’ll love the characters as much as the plot.
