"Fragile" is the story of three people connected throughout their lives by the difficulties they face. Amelia Geist still waits for the man that left her 50 years earlier, believing that someday he will return. Tris Holloway regrets the last 50 years of his life, one filled with unhappiness and a loveless marriage. He knows he never should have left Amelia. Holly Schenck, a single mother trying to survive on her hair dresser`s salary, is hospitalized after a failed attempt at suicide.

The plot of this book is written in a unique style. The story is actually quite refreshing, a story of love, courage, hope and brokenness. It took me awhile to get into this book. The author jumps from character to character, which I found extremely distracting. Once I figured out the erratic flow, I found the plot quite interesting. The author skillfully weaves the lives of all three individuals together. The reader has to stay focused or he/she will miss details that may seem small but is actually very important. All in all, this is a good read.
