Author Biography

With a background in paediatric nursing, Julie Anne Grasso spent many years literally wrapping children in cotton wool. Every day she witnessed great courage and resilience from the tiny people she cared for, which inspired her to write stories to encourage and entertain them.
She lives in Melbourne, Australia with her husband, Danny and their little girl, Giselle

Frankie Dupont And The Mystery Of Enderby Manor by Julie Anne Grasso is a perfect mystery tale for kids aged 8-12. Frankie Dupont's cousin Kat disappears one fine day from Enderby and Frankie decides to investigate her mysterious disappearance. Inspector Cluesome is also working on the case but he thinks Kat might have just wandered off. Frankie does not believe that and he thinks that Inspector Cluesome is clueless. Kat's search takes Frankie to a talking parrot, a mad maid, a dwarf and a six-fingered chef. Frankie realizes that time is now running out for Kat and he has to speed up his investigation. Will Frankie be able to solve the mystery and find Kat?

In a perfect mystery story for children, Frankie's investigation and Kat's disappearance make for an exciting and engaging read for children. The simple theme, endearing characters and the interesting happenings create a heart-warming mystery that will keep kids glued to the story. The illustrations in the book give the characters a personality and help in giving life and movement to the scenes. The varied characters that Frankie runs into while on his investigative mission are all colorful and have been well portrayed. It is definitely a book that kids will enjoy. What a great story. One thing about the story is that you never know what is going to happen till the end. The author has managed to keep the suspense and mystery going to the last page, making it a perfect read.
