At one time homeless, destitute, and addicted to drugs, Alex Mezulari shares the lessons that helped him break free from years of addiction and become whole in his insightful work, From Seeking Recovery to Finding Wholeness. The book is based on eleven steps that are easy to recall. The first rule is to be good to yourself. The work argues that many people have a continuous negative recording in their minds. It takes conscious effort to be kind and compassionate to yourself. The second rule relates to surrounding oneself with people who are encouraging and empowering. The section also discusses how to find wholeness in God. The last mindset is the most significant, according to this book. It concerns identifying one’s calling and gifts and aligning what one envisions with what one wants to be and what one wants to achieve.

From Seeking Recovery to Finding Wholeness: 11 Proven Mindsets for Freedom from Self-Bondage and Manifest your Dreams with the Power of DIY Cognitive Therapy is a helpful guide for anyone who seeks to free themselves from destructive habits. It is brief, making it easy to read through, but it is also packed full of practical and profound lessons. It addresses a variety of significant topics that relate to wholeness including inner dialogue, fear, forgiveness, developing an attitude of expectancy for those things we hope for, and more. The work is also relevant and applicable to modern issues that our society faces. Alex Mezulari also writes about rules and mindsets that he has tried and which have worked for him for years. The advice contained is realistic but also encouraging. From Seeking Recovery to Finding Wholeness by Alex Mezulari is an actionable guide with lessons for any reader.

In From Seeking Recovery to Finding Wholeness (DIY Cognitive Therapy), Alex Mezulari says he has reached enlightenment, having risen from living on the streets as a drug addict and an alcoholic. The process has taken him eighteen years, and his writing is brimful of his excitement and enthusiasm. He has written this book to help others who might be in a similarly desperate situation and who are open to finding a way out. From his present happy situation due to hard work and perseverance and even having fallen back several times, he presents the qualities needed to reach not only normality but an exalted state of being. Mezulari says that desperation—hitting rock bottom—is a gift. Now you know you must get help. He has been there and knows the way out.

Alex Mezulari began by getting involved in the Twelve Step Program under the tutelage of a man who volunteered to sponsor him. This man gave him three basic rules: be good to yourself; you are not your mind; and go where the love is. These concepts expanded into other guidelines, and after 18 years of study and practice, Mezulari decided “to create a self-help book that shares with others everything [he] learned on [his] journey.” He divides his presentation into eight levels: Fearless, Faith, Belief, Inner Dialogue, Expectancy, Forgiveness, Competition, and Vision. And he refers often to the ideas of Joel Osteen, Les Brown, and the Holy Bible. If you find yourself desperately needing to change your life for the better, From Seeking Recovery to Finding Wholeness (DIY Cognitive Therapy) by Alex Mezulari may be the message you are looking for.

Having a positive attitude is essential nowadays. In a world that seems to be doing its best to prevent us from living the life of our dreams, our primary focus must be to develop the right mindset. This is what Alex Mezulari invites us to do by reading (and applying) his book From Seeking Recovery to Finding Wholeness. Here, he summarizes what he has learned after a tough time and offers us eleven easy-to-learn mindsets. They allow us to change our minds and, as a consequence, our reality. With the help of God, Mezulari suggests that you create a powerful vision of yourself to live to your full potential.

From Seeking Recovery to Finding Wholeness made a deep impression on me and gave me valuable advice. Mezulari explains how to change our minds with clarity and is persuasive in his reasoning. I like that he refers to his personal experiences and stresses that the result he has achieved is possible for each of us. This empowering message deserves to be spread around the world. I am grateful that From Seeking Recovery to Finding Wholeness points out the necessity of having God in our lives and seeking spiritual solutions to our problems. As these are values that many people forget or underestimate in our chaotic world, it is remarkable that their importance is stated here. I suggest reading From Seeking Recovery to Finding Wholeness as a practical guide and re-reading it often until applying its concepts becomes natural. This is what I will do, too.
