Full Circle: The Haszard Narratives is a sleuth mystery written by Kevin E. Hatt. Haszard and Sabrina had recently returned from their vacation and were back at work at the local hospital where he was an anesthetic and recovery practitioner, and she was a Sister in the orthopedic clinic. They were pondering dinner options when their friend, Grace, called. They were not at all surprised to hear that their brilliant, driven, and totally unpredictable friend needed an emergency infusion of cash sent to her in Marseilles, which was not on her itinerary -- but that had never discouraged Grace before. Stopping by her assistant Suzie’s house to get the fund transfer process started was not a big thing in itself, but Suzie had a problem that she wanted Haszard to work on. He automatically resisted, but the story of her cousin's startling death was a little too unusual for him not look into, at least a little bit. Dean had fallen from a bridge and died in Lamesford, a small village known for its residents’ practice of the old religion, yet he had been seen in Southington, twenty miles away, at the exact moment of his death.

Kevin E. Hatt's sleuth mystery, Full Circle: The Haszard Narratives, is a breezy and fun tale that manages to be deadly serious at the same time and that's no mean feat. Like many other readers, I was immediately intrigued when I saw the pentagram on the cover of this book, and the story did not disappoint. The mystery surrounding Dean's death was as irresistible to me as it was to Haszard and Sabrina, who are a brilliant team, and who I enjoyed getting to know. The supporting cast of friends and colleagues were also a lot of fun to become acquainted with on the way to the resolution of the puzzle. The story moves quickly and smoothly, and the solution came as a total surprise. This is the first of The Haszard Narratives that I've had the opportunity to read, and I'm looking forward to reading more. Full Circle: The Haszard Narratives is highly recommended.
