Author JB Lynn continues "Confessions of a Slightly Neurotic Hitwoman" in this delightful sequel, "Further Confessions of a Slightly Neurotic Hitwoman" which features hitwoman Maggie Lee. Maggie kills only because she needs money to support her beloved young niece Katie who is comatose and hospitalized after the accident that killed her parents, Maggie's sister Theresa and her husband, Dirk. Maggie was also badly injured in that car accident and recovers, only to find that she can communicate with animals, namely Katie's lizard, Godzilla, and her Doberman Pinscher Doomsday who prefers to be called DeeDee. Maggie keeps this new skill to herself lest she be committed. Now, as a hitwoman in need of money, Maggie works with crime boss Tony Delveccio but as she says on page 4, "but just so as you know, I don't go around killing just anyone. I have standards. The two men I killed were bad men, very bad men." Maggie has her problems: her three aunts, her best friend Alice who is pregnant but is also getting married, Harry at her workplace who insists on breathing down her neck, Armani, her co-worker who claims to be psychic, and those three gorgeous men, Paul, Nick, and fellow hitman Patrick. What is a girl to do?

"Further Confession of a Slightly Neurotic Hitwoman" is a story that readers will enjoy getting into as its many characters are fun to know about in all their nuttiness. Maggie, her three aunts, Susan, Loretta, and Leslie, and all the other major and minor characters in this story are believable although the reader will be delighted that none of them is nearby neighbors. The plot of Maggie's next kill for money which she needs to care for her niece will entertain readers to the story's end. The not quite realistic theme and the ending will take the readers away from everyday life and its frequent complications.
