GOGO and the Stay At Home Bug is written by Kathy Hill. It is a teaching book designed to help children understand the corona virus and what they need to do to help keep from getting it. With the various details and explanations in the book, it is for older children. At the same time, the material is handled in a wonderfully interesting way that these children will enjoy.

Like so many children, during the time when everyone had to stay at home because of the virus, our young characters Gogo and Q are restless and unhappy about being isolated from their friends and school. They’ve been told the reason for this is a "bug" called corona. When the siblings are gathered together inside and trying to find out more about this bug, they suddenly find themselves in the presence of a wonderful and unexpected person who knows all about it.

Their learning unfolds from there in what I consider one of the best and most engaging ways of teaching children about this virus. Gogo and Q are given the kind of encouragement that makes children want to learn, even when the subject being taught is a little tricky to understand. Moreover, the author makes clear the supportive relationship between Gogo and Q, thus showing children the importance of praising one another’s ways of learning. I think GOGO and the Stay At Home Bug is a great teaching tool for parents who want an easy, yet truly informative way to help their children understand the corona virus. Thank you, Kathy Hill, for your story.

GoGo and The Stay At Home Bug by Kathy Hill is a picture book for young children. All of a sudden, the world as Q knew it changed. Mums and dads were now working from home, children were being homeschooled using the internet, and a big, scary bug called the coronavirus had taken over. One day, Q and GoGo sit down to learn all about the coronavirus and why all of the changes had to be made. Q learns how the virus spreads, and how to keep himself and his friends and family safe from catching it. Join Q and GoGo as they learn the important facts about the coronavirus, and how to prevent yourself from contracting it.

GoGo and The Stay At Home Bug is an informative book that children will enjoy and learn from. Kathy Hill has done an incredible job of creating a highly informative book whilst also keeping it entertaining. Children will be interested from the very first page and will love the characters. The writing is simple so that children can follow along easily, and the information the author is trying to teach is clear and will prove to be effective. The illustrations are adorable and unique, and will attract the attention of any young reader - my favorite was the fairy! I want to wish Kathy Hill all the best in her writing journey and can't wait to see what she comes up with next. Congrats on the book, I'm sure it will become a success!

In the past couple of years, things haven't been the same. But as much as havoc has been spread amongst adults' social and personal lives, children haven't been spared the ramifications of the global pandemic. In GOGO and The Stay At Home Bug by Kathy Hill, two children try to make the best use of their time while having to stay indoors due to the lockdown procedures. Q realizes this is not a normal time. He misses his friends and feels FaceTiming is just not the same. Meanwhile, Gogo can't visit her sister or the malls, even though she loves shopping so much. But the arrival of a mysterious fairy changes all of their complaints. She teaches them about Coronavirus and how it is necessary to follow the rules to stay healthy and rid the world of the virus.

GOGO and The Stay At Home Bug is the perfect book to teach children about why their schools and parks are closed, why they have to follow lockdown protocols, and why it is necessary to follow the rules to eradicate the virus in its entirety. With colorful drawings and an entertaining story, author Kathy Hill manages to provide valuable information about the COVID-19 pandemic in a fun and playful way children can engage with. Q and Gogo are likable characters, and they represent the children all over the world who have experienced the advent of the pandemic and its aftereffects. I will highly recommend parents to introduce GOGO and The Stay At Home Bug to their kids.

There are events that perhaps many parents find difficult to explain to their children, and the coronavirus pandemic is one of them. If you need to explain to your children why it is necessary to stay at home and wear face masks, the beautiful book Gogo and The Stay at Home Bug by Kathy Hill is for you. This book introduces you to Gogo and Q, two children who have to stay home after their school closes. As they study biology, a little fairy appears in front of them. Her name is Verona, she is dressed like a soldier, and thanks to her, the two children will discover that the bug that forces them to stay at home is actually a virus.

I have always believed that children understand everything, but there are more or less appropriate ways of explaining what is happening. Gogo and The Stay at Home Bug is a great book to help them understand in a fun way what the coronavirus pandemic is and why it is essential to follow the rules to prevent it from spreading. Kathy Hill wrote a lovely story, and the little soldier fairy Verona is a wonderful character. Her clothing is original, and children will love it (I think many will be impressed by her boots, like Gogo). Finally, the optimistic message about what the world will look like after the pandemic will give young readers courage and joy. I recommend this book to all parents who want to explain a difficult situation like this to their children.

Children, just like adults, are affected by Coronavirus 19, better known as COVID-19. However, Kathy Hill knows that children don’t have the same understanding of diseases that adults have. Gogo and the Stay at Home Bug helps younger children comprehend what a virus is and how it is transmitted. First, using terms and concepts most children readily understand, Kathy gently explains COVID-19 and safety precautions to take. Then, instead of giving children just the cold, complicated (and boring) facts, Kathy weaves a story of fun and learning. What child does not enjoy a story that has a fairy in it? Also, most children know what Legos are and understand how to build stuff with them. Combining the construction knowledge of Legos and the fun of a fairy, Kathy has authored an excellent book for children.

The whole world has been dramatically affected by COVID-19. It has effectively changed the world into a different and challenging place to live. Instead of social interaction in person, gatherings now take place via the internet. Adults often have difficulty understanding how a virus like COVID-19 spreads and why it is so deadly. Many parents forget that their child has an even more difficult time understanding viral infections. How does one explain advanced medical science to a young child? Kathy Hill has come up with a brilliant concept to explain the complicated facts of COVID-19 and its prevention on a child’s level. Make yourself available to read this story with or to your child, then be sure to ask questions and discuss their understanding. Probe and find out what fears your child has and help them find solutions to their fears. Use this book as a springboard for discussing how the world is changing and how to change with it.
