Stephanie Dagg is a new author to me. I love finding new ones who will hook me and hold me until the end of the story with just a few pages. That is what she did here for me. I loved the way she took her own experience and created a story for the entire family to read that will take them on an adventurous journey to France. Ms. Dagg fills the story with some laughs, a few uh-ohs and lots of determination, making it truly wonderful. I couldn't imagine packing up everything and moving an ocean away to start living life over in a new place. But Ms. Dagg and her family did, making their move to France. Life can be hard with any move you make, even here in the states. But, when you move to somewhere where everything is significantly different, times can get trying. Learning to adjust to a new culture, new living arrangements, new jobs, all of it can be exhausting and stressful. But, Ms. Dagg created this interesting and unique story to show that it can be done through perseverance and determination, working together and lots of love and keeping your head above water.

This book is not very long, just around 200 pages. It is filled with great entertainment. It is filled with the hardships and love of a family of 5 that make it in a new country. Life isn't always easy and this is what is highlighted in this book. Ms. Dagg is a wonderful author who has created a captivating life story that transports the reader to the center of France, right beside them! I would love to see more amazing work by her.
