I am a mother of three and the grandmother at 10 and 2010, I begin to write a small blog to my children every day and text it to them. It was actually a non-Churchy, life application of biblical principles. Many of my friends began to ask me to text them The blog as well and so many people begin to ask that I decided to put it on Facebook. My audience grew at an amazing rate and every day people told me I should write a book. I had one of my readers call me and tell me that she would help me put the bed together by extracting all of these blogs from Facebook that I had been faithful to post for seven years. I didn’t even know I was writing a book.!!! The book exemplifies the life that I lived in my quest for the hidden treasures that God promises his people. The Bible has over 6000 promises in it that are often hidden and must be discovered by his people. Hidden treasures in secret places is a treasure chest of many of these hidden treasures. It is uplifting and put in a devotional style. It is easy reading and the reviews are all five star. A true blessing to all who own it.

Hidden Treasures in Secret Places: Words of Wisdom for Everyday Life by Velma Hagar Ristaino is a gift of faith and wisdom, a tool that leads us to treasures available to us, no matter our status in life, background, or calling. In this book, the author shares her beautiful journey with readers, and they will notice a light flowing from her brokenness. She confesses: “Since I began to delve into the Bible, I have found that there are hidden treasures in every single thing in life.” This book shows how she made this discovery and how she became transformed from a person whose life was once filled with fear to a confident woman, learning to surrender to God’s will, to experience inner peace and freedom, and to grow into the person she has been called to be.
This book is designed to offer readers a thought to ponder on, an idea to act on, and an action to take each day of the year so they can live their lives fully. They are written in language that is beautiful, deeply moving, inspired from scripture and translated into concrete human experience. The formatting is well done, making for an enjoyable reading experience and allowing readers to easily navigate through the pages.
