Honest to God by John Brooks is a non-fiction Christian living book that would appeal to a diverse audience of young adult Christians and adult Christians looking to learn how to live their life to the fullest with God. This book is designed to assist people who struggle to deal with daily life, to provide them with the strength they need to rise up and live life with God. Normal daily life is a mix of different experiences and emotions that include, but are not limited to: hope, disappointment, love, hate, fear, faith, defeat, victory, and so much more. It is important to understand that everyone is worthy of the love and faith of Christ. Are you ready to be honest with yourself and with God in order to embrace Christ and experience true transparency in your life?
Honest to God by John Brooks was an interesting book, although it took a while for me to really get into it. I had to reread sections of the book once or twice to really grasp the full meaning of the words. However, each time I would reread, I would gain more of an understanding of the author’s intent, and I began to find myself inspired. The way that the book shares the idea of truly being honest with God in order to live in transparency was intriguing. In fact, I have decided to give it a try to see if I can find fulfillment in honesty between myself and God. Overall, while the book does take a bit of time and patience to understand its meaning, I consider it time well spent.
