In How to Handle Depression by Rev. Dr Norman Campbell, the author covers the relevant topic of depression and through this book he helps readers suffering from depression overcome it. People suffer from various forms of depression and many people in the Bible were also depressed by today's standards. The book tells readers how to handle depression David's way. The Bible says David was a great king and warrior who is said to have suffered from depression. David's method of securing release from his depression is indeed uplifting and can be practiced by those suffering from it.
I found the book uplifting and it gives hope to all those whose life seems bleak due to the depressive phase they are going through. The quotes from the Psalms and Scriptures are healing and open up possibilities of new dreams, new hopes and new attitudes. All the tips, techniques and advice shared by the author are simple and can be practiced and incorporated by those who are struggling with their depression. The book also speaks about the importance of following a healthy diet and lifestyle to get rid of depression. It's a wonderful book to have in one's personal collection as the book definitely helps readers look at life with a positive attitude. David's story of recovery can be followed and incorporated into one's daily lifestyle for happy living, and the book also clears up a lot of misunderstandings about depression.
