With Ireland as an opening setting, the reader will immediately meet gorgeous Conn Kayrs, an incredible warrior, brother to Dage, the King of the Real. Conn is also a vampire with his romantic sites set on lovely but deadly Moira, a witch. Moira is much more than just a witch; she is a university professor and the seventh child of the seventh sister and her family sits on the Coven Nine council of witches. Conn is able to have wild sex with Moira who he's courted for a century and immediately afterward, he can take heads off with the best of them. He is able also to recover from deadly wounds with a little help from his vampire's bite and cure himself. The Kurjans, vampires with nothing good in mind, have created a virus that will allow them to steal vampire mates. Moira, having delighted in sex with Conn, is just that, a vampire mate. And is it possible that one of the Coven Nine is a traitor? With all its violence and plentiful bad and good guys, "Hunted"'s theme will continue in another story as Kalin, a murderous, not so nice character, has his eyes on Conn's niece, Janie Belle.
"Hunted" is a well-written paranormal novel that will appeal to fans of the genre. Its many characters - witches, vampires, shapeshifters - are believable and suit the novel's pace well. The dialogue, subplots and action are first rate and add to the basic storyline. "Hunted" is a must-read that will have great appeal to the many who love the idea of an alternate world filled with vampires, witches, and werewolves.
