JT is the hero of E. Alan Fleischauer's Hunted and Duvall is the bad guy who wants him dead, along with others that have seen the incorrect Wanted Dead or Alive poster willing to pay for JT's capture. JT is in Colorado after losing his beloved wife in New York and he has become a very wealthy man after finding treasures and gold in a nearby mine. He remains one step ahead of Duvall as they battle in the wintry mountains, much to Duvall's frustration and angry attempts to end JT’s life. JT has a very different and unusual protector who has saved his life on several occasions, helping him to stay alive to continue fighting off those who are trying so hard to get the reward.

Hunted is an enjoyable western story with all of the needed aspects of the good guys and the bad guys. I really enjoyed Hunted and if you like the western genre, I believe you will enjoy it too. JT was very likable, as were his friends, and the bad guys were truly bad and impossible to like. This is the second book in the series, but I did not realize that. However, Hunted stood perfectly fine on its own. E. Alan Fleischauer has created a great western character in JT and I anxiously look forward to reading more about his adventures. His protector adds a twist of something different that was very clever and made me smile. I would love to see this series turn into a made for TV show and see JT, Duvall and the rest of the crew outside of my imagination. Hunter is a good story and one that is well worth reading.
