I Have the Power ... To Enjoy School! by Toni McAree and Stephanie Hope is an uplifting book with rhyming poems accompanied by positive affirmations to give children confidence when going to school. The affirmations are comforting and saying them out loud will make children ready for school. For a child, a school might be scary initially but this book is a good way to help them realize they are not alone and they will have their friends and teachers too. The book also encourages children to do positive things in the morning so that they feel good before they leave for school.

The affirmations are good for every child to be in control of their day at school and understand that it is a fun and safe place to go. The illustrations give clarity to the concept and make the story enjoyable and appealing to children while reading. It is a perfect book for tutors and parents to read out loud to children to help them change their mindset. The rhyming poems give a good pace and movement and are entertaining.
