If You Were Me and Lived in... Cuba is a part of Carole P. Roman’s If You Were Me and Lived in... series for young readers. Do you know where Cuba is? In this book, Volume 22, children will become educated on various aspects of Cuba from the traditions and meals to the vocabulary that is special to the culture. Carole takes your child on a wonderful journey as they learn about Havana, the capital of Cuba. Did you know that Havana is the largest and the leading commercial center of Cuba? To enrich your child's learning experience, there is a glossary which gives the meaning as well as the pronunciation of the words that are special to Cuba. Once your child finishes reading this colorful, illustrated book, their world will never be the same.

I have read and reviewed a few of Carole’s works and was not only fascinated by the subject matter, but came away with a thorough knowledge of it. Carole’s books are short but so power-packed with the breadth and depth of various cultures from the African, Mayan and Aztec to the Asian communities. You will learn while having fun, just like I did. Watch how your child's attention is captured and they will desire more as they study the pictures, learn the meaning and pronunciations of new words, and gain a better grasp of the Cuban traditions, culture and community. Learning about someone or something different than yourself is the key to expanding your horizons.
