Author Biography

Jan Tilley was born and raised in northern Ohio. Enticed by the sea, she later moved to Wilmington, North Carolina and now writes from a cabin nestled in the woods in rural Indiana.

Jan wrote her first novel "Coming About" after her oldest daughter went off to college. It began as a purging of emotions but as they always do, the characters came alive and took the story down an unexpected path..

She was then bitten by the bug and is now admittedly obsessed with writing. Her second novel was a sci-fi endeavor titled "Embody". She was a featured guest on The Kevin Smith Show where she discussed the book in a live two-hour interview to a world-wide audience of over one million people.

"Rogue's Hollow" was her next release which is a suspenseful ride, fictionally based on the like named town near where she grew up.

Next came "Jasper's Gift", which is the highly anticipated sequel to her first novel. Tilley loved revisiting her pals and said it was like going home to visit old friends again.

"I'm Not Listening" is her latest release. Suspense and steamy romance make this a new adult favorite pick.

Tilley is an award-winning author features at multiple conferences and events. More than 100,000 copies of her books have been distributed world-wide.

She will continue doing her best to entertain you for as long as you'll welcome her into your lives! Contact Jan on twitter @tilleytalk or at Jan Tilley & Friends on Facebook.

In a Flash, a contemporary romance novel by Jan Tilley, hits every aspect of a true romance story. It is not just about the love between a man and a woman. It is not a story of flowers and Valentine sweetness. Rachel and Brad have been married for twenty-three years when he announces that he wants a divorce. After admitting that he only remained in the marriage until their daughter was off to college, Rachel is at a loss. Her life was centered on her daughter; the daughter that Brad never wanted. And now he no longer wanted Rachel. No longer needed or wanted, Rachel strikes out on her own. All she has left in her life is Jasper, an elderly man in the nursing home where she works, and Sadie, the inspirational owner of the area diner. What Rachel realizes is that these two individuals more than fill the gaping hole of loneliness that her broken marriage has created.

Jan Tilley has intricately woven a romance rich in self-exploration. Rachel is forced to reach deep within herself to find the woman she never knew existed. Sadie sees Rachel’s worth and helps her gain attention as a professional photographer. Jasper encourages her to reach beyond her own expectations. Maggie supports her with a force that equals Rachel’s motherly devotion. When she is reacquainted with her high school friend Charlie, Rachel begins to feel she has a purpose. And, lastly, Rachel begins to see that her life has not been wasted, but is only just beginning.
