Inside Room 913 by Bruce A. Borders is a very entertaining mystery. When Cynthia Holt is hired by the Parkview Manor retirement home, she is happy to have a job. The job is easy but the one rule she cannot help being curious about is “to never bother the resident in Room 913.” Cynthia is naturally curious since the room always remains locked and the resident has never been seen. She soon makes it her mission to solve the mystery of Room 913.

Inside Room 913 is an easy read and has you guessing till the very end. I was able to figure out half of the mystery before the end, but the end was still a bit of a surprise. I applaud Borders for all the surprises and secrets in this book. This kept me from wanting to put the book down because I had to know if I guessed right or if another secret was revealed. Cynthia Holt is a likeable character. The main thing I liked about her is that she explained her reasons in thinking the way she did. Borders forced me to think in a new way and see things in a different light. This is a good book for young adults or anyone who likes mysteries.
