JANE GRIMSLEY EDWARDS was born and raised in High Point, North Carolina. After receiving her Bachelor’s Degree from Salem College she taught for the Winston-Salem /Forsyth County School System. Teaching in the Exceptional Children’s program, she realized the importance of helping children reach their full potential by giving them the support and encouragement needed to find their special place in life.
In 2010, Jane had the privilege of raising a lamb named Jelly Bean with her neighbor. This experience along with her many years of teaching encouraged her to write JELLY BEAN FINDS HER SPECIAL PLACE
Jane has two adult children, Jim and Ashley. She currently lives in Pfafftown, North Carolina, with her two rescued cats and two rescued dogs.
RENEE’ KISNER PAPPAS was born in Chicago, Illinois. She is a graduate of R.J. Reynolds High School. With her background in business, she has worked for Piedmont Airlines, Bowman Gray School of Medicine, and Pepsi.
Several years ago Renee had the opportunity to help raise several sheep including Farrah and Falcon, parents to Jelly Bean. When Jelly Bean was born, she and her neighbor, Jane Edwards, fed and nurtured the lamb until they found Jelly Bean her special place. Renee’ and Jane worked together to create and publish JELLY BEAN FINDS HER SPECIAL PLACE.
Renee’ has two daughters, Ashley and Bria, and four grandchildren. She currently lives in Winston-Salem, NC.

"Jelly Bean Finds Her Special Place" was written by Jane Edwards and Renee Pappas. This uniquely written book is created with a well-designed layout, drawings, and beautiful photography. "Jelly Bean Finds Her Special Place" was created with love for children, young adults, and older readers. One message or life lesson the book gives is that although life throws us changes we all eventually find that one special place in life we love and cherish. This story tells of the journey a lamb has undertaken to find her forever special place in life. This book could be used in Schools and in the home as a learning resource for positive thinking, and life changing lessons. If you remain strong and retain hope in your heart through the struggles and changes in life, you too may find the happy place you have been looking for with help from yourselves and others.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading "Jelly Bean Finds Her Special Place". The photography and illustrations throughout the book are spectacular They are very beautifully done and complement the overall effect of the book considerably. The actual photographs gave me more of an idea about what Jelly Bean's emotions were during the whole process of finding her special place. An amazing story that shows the true emotions of animals and allows a loving view of a human-animal relationship. I wanted this book specifically for my son who is struggling with changes in life. I read this to him a few times and he seemed to understand the message the book conveyed. He has now claimed the book as his own and continues to sit for hours viewing the story and its pictures.
