Author Biography

Tammi Hoerner Since 2004, Tammi has been on a quest to discover, live, and share the life and health benefits of natural living. She is a Board Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, Aromatherapist, and Herbalist, with a passion for helping busy professional and entrepreneurial Moms lead balanced, abundant, and healthy lives. Tammi guides from both personal life experience and an abundance of natural health education that includes graduating from the world’s largest nutrition school, The Institute for Integrative Nutrition. In July 2012, Tammi was awarded the Health Leadership Award, by The Institute For Integrative Nutrition. She has also earned certification and training as follows: Master Herbalist Diploma, Immersion Studies, Holistic Nutrition, An Integrative Approach, Nutrition for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention, Usui Reiki I & II, Aromatherapy Essentials, Aromatherapy Healing Arts, Nutrition & Wellness Coach, Sports Nutrition Tammi has been professionally certified with the American Association of Drugless Practitioners and is a proud Member of IAHC, The International Association of Health Coaches. Aside from her passions in natural health, Tammi is happily married to the love of her life, the incredibly proud mother of two, and grandmother of one. Lessons for MomPositive Living: Attainable Wellness for Modern Moms by Tammi Hoerner is an informative workbook filled with tips on how to make lifestyle changes that can help heal your mind, body, and soul. New topics are introduced in each chapter and they are followed by questions and challenges to give you a push towards living a healthier lifestyle. The author also includes a daily journal and schedule so that you can write down your thoughts and actions. Some important things that this workbook teaches you are how to follow a K.I.S.S (Keep It Simple Silly!) routine, properly take deep breaths to alleviate anxiety, incorporate more fruits and vegetables into your diet, choose whole foods over packaged and processed foods, and experiment with healing essential oils and herbs. If you are tired of being overweight, feeling sluggish most of the time, suffering from migraines, struggling with anxiety, or enduring sleepless nights, then this book can greatly benefit you to make a positive change in your life and feel better!

I enjoyed reading the workbook Lessons for MomPositive Living: Attainable Wellness for Modern Moms by Tammi Hoerner, because it provided me with valuable tips on how to make changes in my lifestyle to help improve my overall health. I don’t own any houseplants, but I am now on a mission to purchase one, so that it can improve the air quality inside my home, as the workbook suggests. Just like the author used to do, I also plan my meals around a meat centered plate every day; this is the way that I grew up and I have done so my entire life. After reading this workbook, I am going to change this. I will now incorporate more colorful vegetables into my meals and will use animal protein as a side, instead of the main dish. I will also drink more water throughout the day, and I will infuse it with strawberries and mint to make it taste more flavorful, per the workbook’s recommendation. I also liked learning about the essential oils and herbs that are home remedies for coughs, headaches, and split hair ends. The healthy recipes at the very end of the book also look very simple and delicious to make!
