In Nicola Lowe’s Liar, Amber loved her job. There was something about working in a hospice, being there for people in their final hours, caring for those who would never recover, and offering comfort that brought her peace. She was a pure, kind, and virtuous soul in more ways than she knew. But an ancient prophecy had started a chain reaction that could never be stopped. Anwir came to this plane for revenge, to kill the being responsible for his father's death, but he never expected his quest to lead him to her. A woman who was nothing like the tales he had heard, a woman he needed to get to know, a woman who could destroy him in ways he never expected.
Nicola Lowe’s Liar is an enjoyable paranormal romance with the meeting of worlds in a most spectacular way as dimensions forced to live apart come together to find one woman. Two beings at opposite ends of the spectrum have one target in mind. I loved how this plot developed, how past and present tangle in unexpected ways, and how passion erupts. There are twists and revelations, surprises, and prophecies. The reader will be left wondering who to trust and who to root for as the tension and drama unfold. I loved watching the characters grow as their past and true natures surfaced. Action, desire, growth, and love fill the pages, capturing the reader as little by little the truth is revealed in a love story that could change the very fabric of existence.
