Lillie is the third book in the Maggie Trilogy by Mya O'Malley. This is the story of Naomi, a woman who can see ghosts and help them find closure so that they can move on. However, Naomi was ready for some respite after a long, long time. Now that she is married to Bryce, she sold her house and moved in with Bryce and his young daughter Holly. Naomi was looking forward to a blissful time with her little family, but the moment she started living in her new home, she realized that something was wrong. She kept hearing someone weeping. However, this time she knew that she could not walk away from the ghost, even if her husband forbade her. Little Lillie has been lost for a long time, but Naomi can only help her if she cooperates. Naomi knows it is going to be dangerous for her new family, but she knows that walking away from Lillie would be a catastrophe.

There is a richness to this novel that stands out from the very beginning. I haven’t read the previous novels in the series, but I found no issues with reading this novel. The depth of the narrative made it so entertaining and engrossing for me. I loved reading about the little family that Naomi had. Holly and Zelda were like a breath of fresh air to lighten the mood and bring a smile to my face. My heart went out to Lillie and her tragic story and how conflicted Naomi was to help her out. I applaud the author for creating such a superb novel. The characters were wonderful, the story was intricate and the suspense was kept alive until the end. I loved it! Absolutely brilliant!
