With so much emphasis now on food allergies and gluten sensitivity, I was curious about what I could learn in Living With Severe Food Allergies by Cari Minch. I learned a lot. Minch walks you through the definition of a food allergy, how to shop for food, food cross-contamination, and what to consider when dining out. But wait, there’s more! Living With Severe Food Allergies provides exhaustive lists of information about egg allergies, peanut allergies, tree nut allergies, shellfish allergies, and fish allergies, as well as allergies to corn, wheat, and soy. The book is well-referenced with a list of resources at the end. Bonus information includes recipes for allergy-free meals, notifying schools of children’s dietary restrictions, and how to use an epipen.

Living With Severe Food Allergies by Cari Minch is a powerhouse of information about food allergies that can help people determine whether they have one based on their symptoms, as well as teach people how to avoid foods that trigger the allergies. Living With Severe Food Allergies should be read by all parents so they can monitor and recognize any symptoms their children are having in reaction to certain foods and know how to deal with it. I learned a lot from reading this book because I had no idea that there were so many different types of food allergies. Now I think I might even recognize one or two in myself. Pick up a copy of Living With Severe Food Allergies by Cari Minch and learn about what foods may be doing to your health and what you can do about it.
