Looking for Dei by David A. Wilson is a stunning young adult fantasy tale that follows a young girl named Nara, who has been told all her life to keep her magic powers a secret. But when the day of the announcement ceremony comes around, and her best friend, Mykel, is announced as a 'cursed,' she must use her powers in order to save him. Together, Nara, Mykel and Bylo, the person who raised Nara, flee their small town, as Bylo could tell that the two teenagers would be in danger, but even he has no idea of the extent of the danger they're in. While on the run, Nara will learn about her past, and learn more about her powers, and they will make new friends, as well as new foes.

I really, really enjoyed reading Looking for Dei by David A. Wilson. The book is very well written and descriptive. I was hooked by the first page and I never wanted to stop reading. The plot was very exciting and thrilling. I liked that the story was told following many different people. The story is a real page turner. The characters are very likable and very well developed, with different strengths and weaknesses. The book is very suspenseful, and the reader will keep gasping as more things are revealed. The story will make readers' hearts race, and readers will feel like they're really there with the characters. This book has an original and interesting take on magic that readers will love. I'd definitely recommend this book to fans of the genre.
