Losing the Plot in LA by Sonia Farnsworth is a chick lit novel. Sylvie is one of those girls that we all hear about – she’s trendy, she’s fun, she’s an LA party girl. The trouble is, Sylvie has so much going on in her life that she is struggling to cope. She is trying to find the right apartment for her and her fast growing puppy, while juggling a hectic social life with her crazy friends. She also has a few hot potatoes on the go in the form of men-friends and is finding it hard to find the time to breathe, let alone really cope with everything. Will Sylvie be able to settle down and find a path through the madness or will it all just overwhelm her and cause her to lose the plot?

Losing the Plot in LA by Sonia Farnsworth looked like a fun read and for the most part it was. It was a bubbly read and there was plenty going on, at times a little too much to keep up with. However, the story was a good one, nothing original, but it was a variation on a theme and it moved along quite nicely. The characters could have been developed a little more. There was little to build them up, round them out and make them into people that you felt you knew, and that is an important part of any book for me. However, that aside, I did enjoy the story and would recommend it for anyone who wants a story that they can while away a little time with.
