Following her previous break-up with Greg, featured in the first part of the series, Luna is uncertain if she should get into another relationship. Moreover, she has other things to focus on at work. Things get even more frightful when she is almost run over by a speeding car. She suspects the perpetrator to be associated with one of the cases she is working on. Kevin, her new love interest, is persistent and does not give up. Their differences emerging from their professions make their relationship much more interesting and, unlike Greg, Kevin is respectful of Luna’s faith. Luna's Treasure by Mary L. Ball continues Luna’s story. This time everything looks hopeful until Luna witnesses a disturbing scene.
In this charming novel, Luna’s love life is again characterized by fear and doubt. Kevin seems loving but, as Luna has learned from the past, people are not always what they seem. She is also unsure whether he will be willing to respect her values. Mary L. Ball develops the characters well, which makes it easy to follow the story, even for someone who might not have read the first book in the series. There are also instances of action which make reading Luna's Treasure even more absorbing. The pace is reasonable, not too fast and not too slow; just the right balance to make reading uncomplicated yet not dull. The inclusion of some suspenseful moments and some action in this romantic story make it captivating. Overall, Luna's Treasure by Mary L. Ball is delightful and captivating.
