Magic Dance by Jeff Lessard is an enchanting story for children in which they are taken to a part of the forest where one can see fairies and pixies dancing, playing, singing, and flying. The pixies were in blue and the fairies in green, and they were all smiling and laughing, and having a lot of fun. They spoke about treasure, life, and magic, and were sad when the topic of strife came up. They all hid when they heard the sound of a cat and came out when it went. There are gnomes and elves too, and by the time readers finish the story they will be able to see a magic dance in their heads.

I found the story whimsical and, being written in rhyming verses, it is lyrical and has a good rhythm. All children love fairies, elves, pixies, and gnomes, and the author brings them to life with their magic dance. The illustrations are enchanting and the scenes and the characters come alive. The story is good to enhance the vocabulary of young readers and will also guide readers on how to write in rhyming verses.

It's not only a fun and magical read, but also a good bedtime storybook for children. Parents and grandparents will enjoy reading about fairies and pixies to their kids and grandkids. The book can also be used for interactive sessions in classrooms and school libraries, and children can try out the magic dance of the fairies and pixies.
