Mirrors of Life - Part 2: The Fight for Political Power by Neal Owens is a riveting political drama that echoes today's political landscape. This offering is a follow-up to his award-winning novel, Mirrors of Life: What's Your Life in the Mirror? In this installment, Derrick is in the crosshairs if you will; the target of powerful players who want to maintain the status quo in political, racial, and social arenas. But besides Derrick's life being in jeopardy, the fate of the entire country hangs in the balance as the Neo-Nazi Erich Hornsby tries to resurrect the Fourth Reich, using John Donaldson as his tool to bring it about.

The plot of Owens' novel leads the reader to draw inevitable comparisons to the state of affairs today, so fans of conspiracy scenarios and realistic thrillers will love this entertaining read. The characters are strong and believable, the dialogue crisp and fresh. Yvonne is an appealing character as well, and there are many well-rounded supporting characters to enjoy. You will feel for Derrick's goals and dreams because they aren't just for himself. He wants to make life, and maybe the world, better for everyone, and stop a cataclysmic and likely irreversible change from taking place. It's about survival. Owens uses thoughtful plot points and bases the events on what could be going on today. He really dives deep into the intrigue, so this book will definitely hold your attention and cause you to think about government and politicians in a new light. Given the state of things today, this book couldn't have better timing. Mirrors of Life - Part 2: The Fight for Political Power by Neal Owens will keep you up at night.
