Mister Pushkin Sees the Light: 12 Summery Tales by AC Michael is the first collection of stories in the Tales of Mister Pushkin series. Mister Pushkin is one feisty cat with a lovable owner and a lot of problems that it’s up to him to fix. He knows exactly what’s best for his owner Klem and often helps him out, whether it's waking him up or keeping him safe from a bully. Klem seems to have the idea that he knows what’s best for Mister Pushkin too, though Mister Pushkin isn’t quite sure he agrees with that. The two have many adventures together that include a range of exciting moments and daily challenges from stopping a bully to waking Klem up to wishing for a cat-flap to lounging in his favorite spot.

The collection is set during summer through the perspective of Mister Pushkin who is a mischievous and clever cat that’s always getting into some sort of trouble. The language is playful with descriptions that include Klem’s bulbous nose, an opulent view, and a community of creepy-crawlies. He’s a cat with a high opinion of himself with his luxurious fur coat and he even thinks of himself as a formidable cat with natural authority. Each tale consists of a single adventure with Mister Pushkin learning new things, getting into trouble, and having lots of fun. Each story is different with each one delivering a different aspect of a cat’s life which AC Michael captures through a lively and whimsical personality.

The collection even includes an adorable tale where Mister Pushkin finds a copycat that does everything that he does such as raising a paw and hissing back, with other tales focusing on cat-themed situations such as nine lives and an encounter with a flying mouse. Every situation leads to humorous results which makes Mister Pushkin Sees the Light a collection of tales that is great for a variety of ages with AC Michael’s witty humor, whimsical style, and mischievous tone.
