Mommy Bunny Loves Me Best by Jessica Neal is about a large rabbit family. There are 10 siblings. Each of the rabbits has a special identifying mark, from freckles to a spot shaped like a tree. One day Sally starts to wonder out loud who their Mommy loves the most. All the siblings then jump in with why Mommy loves them the best. In rhyming verse, they talk about the special things Mommy does just for them. When each rabbit has had a turn, arguments and fighting ensue until Mommy appears. Mommy calms them down and not surprisingly assures them that she loves them all the same. Mommies always have enough love to share with everyone.

Jessica Neal has written and illustrated a warm, reassuring story about a mother’s love. Each of the 10 sibling rabbits has a unique spot and personality that makes them stand out. The soft pastel illustrations depict a cozy and active rabbit home. Anyone that has siblings will recognize this age-old question: who does Mommy love best? Mommy Bunny Loves Me Best answers this question sweetly and delightfully. It is also a wonderful tribute to all the moms out there who know their kids so well and spend time with all of them, doing what they love. Kids are sure to identify with at least one of the many little rabbits. Mommy Bunny Loves Me Best would be a perfect read-aloud story for Mother’s Day or any time you want to snuggle with your own little cuddly bunnies.
