One woman’s life was filled with hope, joy and glory until the black curtain of death engulfed her home and her house, taking her small children from her and leaving her cold, hardened, hateful and isolated. We hear her voice and her words as her granddaughter Felly tells the story of her own life and hopes for success in My Dreams My Choices. Caring for her grandfather enlightens her to the harshness of her grandmother. Losing him would hurt even more. Proud of her parent’s accomplishments and understanding of the shortcomings of others and learning to deal with her own, this young child tells the story of her life, her family and her struggles in her own words.

Devoid of kindness, love or emotion Alela, her grandmother, did nothing to endear herself to her family. Her father was a kind and understanding man who spent his life helping those in his community. My Dreams My Choices is just that: one young girl’s hope to succeed and be successful in school, deal with adversity and come out ahead.

Read this amazing story of one young girl who would not give up, had high hopes and dreams for herself in this well written and fast paced memoir of hope, understanding, illumination and love. Hear her voice, enter the lives and take the journey along with Felly from start to finish and find out what are dreams are, what choices she made and what the final outcome would be. Told in the first person the author allows the reader to understand the courage, the sadness and the struggles faced by this young girl who will not stop until she reaches the top.
