Born in Washington, DC a long, long time ago, I grew up on S street, and later relocated with my family to Prince George's County, Maryland.After graduating from Frostburg Teachers College ( now Frostburg University), I enjoyed a delightful career as a middle and high school English teacher, also doing a brief stint teaching English 101 at the community college. During that time, I married and had three sons. After the death of my best friend and husband, God blessed me with a second man in my life, and new adventures began.
Together we raised and showed alpacas, eventually selling the farm and moving here to shabbily arrogant Pawleys Island, SC. Here the sea, surf and sand conspired to bring my writing talent to light, with God's blessing and intervention. Hopefully, here, the story will continue!

My Journey, His Plan by Sharon Shymansky Roberts is an inspirational book composed of short stories, reflections, and catchy phrases that illustrate the author’s unshakable faith in God. It can be read as an autobiography of faith, an author’s way of looking through her life’s journey and seeing God’s presence and grace. This slim book is a powerful testimony of God’s unconditional love and mercy, a sacred presence that can be seen only with the eyes of faith. It invites readers to acknowledge God’s role in the events of their lives and to develop a strong faith in His Providence. These pages will inspire readers to embrace the path of faith, to find peace in trying moments, to keep walking even when they feel weary because God is present in every moment of their lives.
My Journey, His Plan is a gem, a wonderful gift to be received with humility and faith. It is always interesting to know how God works in the lives of others, and reading Sharon Shymansky Roberts’ journey of faith will be inspiring to many. Roberts writes in a simple style and her voice is warm and reassuring. One of the beautiful things about this book is that it shows the face of the Divine in the ordinariness of life. The author doesn’t claim to have the gift of visions or any other spectacular gift, but she shares a gift that many readers will immediately identify with: the ability to see God in the simple joys of life, the struggles, the trials, and the small triumphs of every day. This book introduces a new way of looking at life – a journey with God! Or, is it God’s journey in us?
