My Unicorn is Having a Baby by Hailee Oman is an adorable story about a unicorn having a baby. The unicorn looked as if she would have her baby right away. The little girl was wondering if the baby unicorn would be a boy or a girl and would get her mama unicorn's eyes, have a sparkly horn, and rainbow-painted toes. She wondered how she would take the unicorn for a walk, how it would drink water, and whether it would sleep on her lap. The little girl has no clue what the baby unicorn would eat and whether it would moo, cluck, or bark. She wondered if the baby unicorn would require a magical brush to comb its hair. Let's read the story to find out what is going through the little girl's mind as she waits for the baby unicorn to arrive.

The story and the illustrations are magical and will leave readers enchanted. My Unicorn is Having a Baby by Hailee Oman will also encourage children to keep a pet and also think about taking care when it has a baby. With so much whimsy in the story and color in the illustrations, the book will captivate young readers. It is a good book to gift children this season because of the story and the pictures. Tutors can use it in classrooms for storytelling sessions and read-aloud sessions to encourage children to imagine and wonder about things around them and in their homes.
