Author Biography

I'm a writer and librarian with a heart for interfaith dialogue. I enjoy blogging and freelance photography. I recently self-published a short story called "The New Jerusalem" available on Amazon.com. It is a heartwarming story about a young Muslim girl who discovers ballet and an Ethiopian-American Orthodox Christian dance teacher whose love for Islam transforms her life. My Yerusalem by Yerusalem Work is a book about family, life, faith, and the struggles that come with exercising complete forgiveness. My Yerusalem is a short story that takes you through the lives of two Muslim families that must: 1) face the truth about a fatal incident that brought the two families together, 2) deal with the possibility of seeing their loved one die right before their eyes, and 3) determine that in order to move forward they must not only forgive themselves but each other. In My Yerusalem, you will be able to see the steps and the process of several social issues that plague us every day.

My Yerusalem is a great story because you get to learn the essence of the Muslim culture as it pertains to their faith, journey of self-discovery, and the process of forgiveness. We all go through life challenges, but it's how we deal with it, regardless of whether we are a Catholic, Muslim or Christian. My Yerusalem displays an example of how the worst of times can become the best of times.
