I loved Mythtefied by Camille Michaels. This is not a surprise to me, as I have loved myths from the very beginning of my journey into the mystery of books. The particular media or format doesn't really matter. Comic books, paperbacks, television shows, thick hard-cover tomes, or movies. I like an epic tale well told and Mythtefied is told very well indeed. I will tell you that the story of young Caelan definitely starts out in a way that feels very similar to the myths of Greek mythology, particularly the battle between the gods and the Titans, and it also feels like some of the tales of heroes and demi-gods. But this is a novel by someone who writes well, so the story isn't nearly as predictable as Greek myths can sometimes be.

I found Mythtefied rich in detail, with a solid plot and very interesting characters that I could believe are real people with real problems. People I could sympathize with, love, or hate. It doesn't get much better than that. The similarities with tales from Norse and Greek mythology were enough to give the stories a warm feeling of familiarity while actually being totally fresh. I just like this kind of story. I have loved them since I was a boy. If you feel that way about mythology, epic fantasy, or any other kind of adventure genre featuring, magic, gods, heroes, and swords, then you definitely want to read Mythtefied by Camille Michaels. She tells an awesome epic tale.
