Native Western New York author, and world traveler, Bill Parker, spent most of his career engineering high-tech manufacturing systems for companies around the world. An accomplished deep space astrophotographer, he was a contributing editor for Modern Astronomy magazine when it was based in Attica, New York, working mainly on astrophotography articles and projects.
Bill Parker has been a Black Belt in Isshin Ryu Karate and a martial artist for more than forty years. The times when all that stood between him and certain death was his martial arts gave Bill the indomitable spirit that pervades his thinking and writing to this day.

Nexus of Fates by Bill Parker is an action-packed sci-fi/fantasy tale that is well imagined and masterfully executed, a brilliant addition to The Five Moons saga. Dallas Blake buys a ship that wasn’t meant to be sold, and now he discovers a mission that could liberate the crew who have been kept on board as “moons”. Teamed with the crew, he has to fight all forms of evil plans devised to capture the Five Moons. It is exhilarating to watch Dallas and his team at work, fighting pirates, and poised against an inscrutable Evil that targets the ship. It is interesting to learn that the ship has its own intelligence and chooses its owner for a purpose. Dallas must do everything to fulfill a destiny that thrusts itself irrevocably into his path. How well can he guide the Five Moons and for how long can they go before Evil catches up with them? It’s for the reader to find out.
This story is the work of great imagination and the author’s genius comes across in the tantalizing plot lines, the suspense, and the powerful imagery that fill the pages of this gripping story. The writing is beautiful, with intelligent and engaging dialogues that help to tighten the pace. Bill Parker creates a setting that reflects a very fertile imagination, but the curious thing is that he makes readers believe in it and see themselves in it. The characters in Nexus of Fates are compelling and readers will stick with Dallas even after they have completed the story. This is the kind of book for sci-fi lovers looking for a fast and entertaining read.
