Author Ed Pessalano has written a baker's dozen of original ghost stories that will chill and thrill the reader. He opens with the story of Delilah the gentle old horse who is predicted to cause horse breeder Paul Deering's death. Then he continues with the story of Shadow the faithful family dog. 'Terror Park' is guaranteed to keep any number of readers away from 'Tunnel of Love' rides in local theme parks. "The Mourning" will keep readers from visiting elderly relatives who live in spooky old houses with a family mausoleum nearby. "Night Shivers" is a great book to have on hand when it is one of those autumn nights with the wind blowing and tree limbs knocking against the side of your house. Egads!

"Night Shivers" is a well-written book of original ghost stories that could use an table of contents so the reader can thumb quickly through the pages to a ghostly favorite tale. The characters in all the stories are totally believable and especially scared or scary, depending on their role in the tale in question. Author Ed Pessalano should read and record these stories in audio format for those souls brave enough to listen. Some of the tales in "Night Shivers" are short, some are long, and all are worth reading or hearing, if they dare. "Night Shivers" will delight readers of all ages who love the macabre and would make a wonderful, if somewhat scary gift, rolled up and wrapped in a holiday stocking!
