Organize Yourself in 24 Hours! by Christ Lewis caught my eyes because of the cover, and because I was wondering how I could motivate myself to get more done in a day, or rather to get more useful things done. And this is exactly what the book is about. Page after page, the reader is introduced to tools he can use to become more productive, more efficient, and also happier.

Christ Lewis managed to pack a lot of useful information into Organize Yourself in 24 Hours! and I found some of the details really good. I also like the comparisons and images he uses a lot. However, my one point of criticism would be that one or the other aspect simply cannot be done in just a day. Organizing your life doesn't just happen in 24 hours - some things simply have to become a habit, and habits cannot be formed in just a day. I am also quite sure the author knows this, as many of the recommendations are clearly not just "one day" activities.

The author's understanding of motivation is obvious, and this comes through the comparisons he uses. I especially liked the idea of bad habits being compared to weeds - and how you have to get to the roots of them to really get rid of them. This is just one of the great examples Lewis uses to illustrate the ideas in the book. While most of the activities are nothing new, the book definitely is better at motivating the reader than many other books on the same topic.
