Our Darker Angel by Mr. Michael Segedy is very much a psychological thriller of fictional terrorism. Our Darker Angel will appeal to an adult audience that enjoys fast paced stories involving terrorism. The story follows FBI agent Richard Clark as he works to hunt down the leader of terrorist group called ARC — Anarchists for Real Change - with the assistance of a forensic psychologist, Dr. Marty Robin. FBI agent Richard Clark investigates ARC while Dr. Marty Robin works to create profiles of those involved with the plot so as to better understand them and their motivations. Two partners, two approaches, and one ARC terrorist leader; who will succeed?
Move over Jack Bauer, Ryan Hardy, Mike Weston, and Chloe O’Brian, and make room for partners FBI agent Richard Clark and Dr. Marty Robin. The partnership of Richard Clark and Dr. Marty Robin adds an interesting element to Our Darker Angel as both characters are very different people with very different backgrounds and approaches - yet they work well together. I really enjoyed the elements of Richard Clark’s past, and it was interesting how Dr. Marty Robin was able to pull him out of his past and into the present. The dynamic of the two main characters is truly the best part of Our Darker Angel by Mr. Michael Segedy.
