Having a new little brother or sister will always be a very special experience in life. Lindsey Coker Luckey presents us the story of Brooklyn, a beautiful little girl who knows that her family is about to grow. Brooklyn, as usual, has doubts and concerns, as she sees her parents' reactions and listens carefully to their comments. Everyone in the new home is waiting. Will Brooklyn have a little sister or a little brother? Only the end of the story can reveal the answer. Our Family is Growing! is an adorable, beautifully illustrated book with a positive message that enhances family togetherness. Having a new member in the family is a unique experience that should be valued as such and Lindsey Coker Luckey expresses it appropriately.
I think that in some cases it can be a bit complicated to explain to a child that they will become an older brother or sister. It is a subject that should be discussed with joy but sometimes support is needed to give a clear explanation to the child. I liked Our Family is Growing! because it is a perfect tool to address the situation of a new baby in the family. The images are excellent, the sentences simple but easy to understand, and everything is expressed wonderfully. The presentation of this book is impeccable in every aspect, where every detail was carefully selected. It’s easy to feel very strong love and connection through the words of Lindsey Coker Luckey.
