When we have thoughts that give us hope, optimism, and a good sense of humor, our days will be brighter. Our state of mind impacts how we act, which is why it is important to have the right perspective on life. A negative person stops taking responsibility and blames mistakes on circumstances instead of trying to correct what happened. In Penelope's Perspective, Camri Dorsey shows us several examples of this. Penelope and her friend have opposite ways of viewing their day. Penelope has a positive approach, and when something bad or unexpected happens, she looks for the good side and tries to improve her situation. On the other hand, her friend sees things negatively but wants to be able to change, so she approaches Penelope to explain how to develop a positive attitude.

To develop the topic, Camri Dorsey provides several comparisons where the same situation can be viewed either positively or negatively, so young readers will see that any situation can be interpreted in different ways. The illustrations by Arnav Chakraborty were appealing, particularly the color selection. The drawings conveyed the emotions in the text, which were highlighted by the tones selected. Penelope's Perspective is a heartwarming book that teaches how a positive attitude lightens our day and how we can share that happiness with others. Children will be able to see the positive side of a situation despite any difficulties. To achieve what we want, it is essential to visualize the best possible result.
