Gemma Warton was furious with Brad Hawkes, the CEO of HC. How dare he fire her father after he'd given the company his loyalty? She wouldn't hear of his reasoning, and off she went to the company to either beg for her father or to give Brad a dressing down. Their meeting, unfortunately, invited Brad into her life. He showed up at her job, insisted on her service, and pissed her off. Against all odds, these encounters ignited deep passion. But Gemma fought it for two reasons: she held onto someone else in her heart and resented Brad for taking away her father’s job. Brad also had his secrets, which would decide the fate of his relationship with Gemma. Would he dare reveal them? Read Perpetuate: Work & Play Series by K.C. Ale to get the whole story.

Perpetuate by K.C. Ale is a passionate contemporary romance novel laced with humor, suspense, and loads of sparks flying. It explores themes like sacrifice, loyalty, workplace bureaucracy, sexual harassment, and more. Perpetuate also sheds light on alcoholism in a relatable way. Alcoholism remains an ongoing battle between loved ones and alcoholics. They want to get better, but the urge to hit the bottle is ever strong. Loved ones indulge alcoholics because they can’t bear seeing them suffer, so the cycle continues. Who is really to blame? K.C. Ale has crafted such a beautiful novel, building a brilliant story on a unique plot. The characters were well developed and memorable. I loved the switch between Brad's and Gemma’s points of view because it helped me follow the story more easily. I’d love to read something about Suzy and Carlson.
