Author Biography

Living in a small village in Lancashire, England, the author has written a number of books based on the tale 'Peter'.

In the 1990s, the author had twenty-one articles published, both nationally and internationally. After gaining an honours degree in Geosciences, doing post-graduate study in Occupational Health and Fitness, and earning a masters degree in Science Communication, he developed an interest for simple communication.

A passion for writing again emerged, and combining various interests in fine art, museum exhibition display, biology, geology, poetry, and the mystical led to the story of Peter: A Darkened Fairytale. The author still retains a childlike vision of the world, which is conveyed throughout his books.

Peter: Crank's Time by William O'Brien is a wonderful collection of poems and tiny thoughts. It is originally based on Peter: A Darkened Fairytale and the poetry is almost mystical. I would describe it as being about magic and fairies as well as other aspects of nature. The author is blessed with his unique talents of captivating the reader from the first line. The projection is one of simplicity and yet some of the poems have hidden meanings. I personally like the tiny thoughts as I feel it just adds a little more magic to the book, overall.

William O'Brien is a very talented author. This book is a marvelous example of some of his best work. As a reader, this book gave me goosebumps as I read through its beautiful verses. I especially like the poem about the little Elfin girl. I could almost imagine her in my mind's eye coming to life and leaping from the page. I feel the mystical quality displayed throughout would appeal to everyone. I feel as though this book could be read by all ages and it will definitely make the reader smile. It offers both a magical and a fantasy feel and you will become lost within the pages. As I have found, this special little book makes the reader want to read it again and again. I fully recommend this book to all and I am very excited to read more from this talented author.
