Author Biography

My wife and I illustrate our eBooks together. Jackie designs a basic idea on paper and then she lets me see them. I look at her ideas and then work on an electronic tablet to create the illustrations. Jackie began writing for her junior high school newspaper when she was 13 years old.She also belonged to an explorer's post in journalism as a junior in high school. She had her most fun in school when she was the daily writer and editor for the summer camp journal during her senior year. Jackie won her first essay contest from our local newspaper in 1998. She began writing children's stories in 1999.
I began writing in high school for our school newspaper and magazine. I also wrote for our high school yearbook staff for three years.
When Jackie and I are not writing and illustrating books we spend time reading books, watching movies and taking our dog for walks in our local parks and enjoying the nature centers where we live.
"Ping! Ping!" is our fourth book in the Gaston and little Gregorie series. Our first book "Peaches! Peaches!" received a silver award with Readers Favorite and our third book "Hide! Hide!" earned an Honorable Mention with Readers Favorite, too.

Gaston the dog and little Gregorie the bird live in a small town in northern France with their master, Mr. Marceau. The Marceau home is a very happy one, with a wonderful garden with beautiful flowers and a fruit orchard where cherries, pears, apples and peaches grow. Gaston loved walking along listening to birds sing and little Gregorie loved riding Gaston’s back looking for his favorite fruit, peaches.

In this new book about Gaston and Gregorie, these two friends learn a new game, Ping-Pong. What were they supposed to do with this little white ball that was supposed to be hit back and forth? Little Gregorie could sing Ping!, as the ball was hit through the air, but could he hit the ball? Or could Gaston hit the ball back to Mr. Marceau? Find out when you read another wonderful book about these two special friends. I thoroughly enjoyed reading another story about Gaston and Gregorie. These two are always up to something, and it is exciting to see what they will do next, or how they will react to what their master brings into their lives. The Ping-Pong story is overly cute and exciting to read. If you haven’t read any of Scott Farrell’s stories, I strongly encourage you to try them. Each story is written especially for ereaders, with detailed but simple illustrations that will not use a lot of ereader space. "Ping! Ping!" is a wonderful book for your small preschool child. They will love these books, and will read them over and over.

I think Joy did a wonderful job reviewing the latest e-book in the Gaston and Gregorie series.
