Pirates Off the Deep End by T.W. Kirchner is an adventurous story revolving around pirates, action, a ghost, intrigue and suspense. Tommy Klopt and his brothers, Dillon and Connor, begin their tryst with the sea at an early age. They sail as Robin Hood pirates and on one such trip they meet a 400-year-old pirate ghost, Francois l'Olonnais, who appears in front of them as a typhoon. The evil ghost holds their father Hoody as ransom while these boys go after the real pirates and the FBI. They have to work together to save their father from the clutches of Francois l'Olonnais. Will they succeed in saving their father from the evil ghost?

It is an intriguing adventure that will keep children entertained and delighted with all the action. The story has no dull moments as readers are pulled into the story along with Tommy, Connor and Dillon. The highlight of the story is the ghost whose portrayal is very entertaining and effects the shift in the story. Apart from being a thrilling tale, the book also has a message to readers which makes it more appealing. The subtle message of working together as a team and loyalty gives depth to the plot. A delightful story with likeable and funny characters.
