Trying to stay ahead of the goon and the criminal who contracted him, Allison relies on a stranger to help her. When she discovers that dirty politics are involved, she realizes that she is in over her head. Despite the threat to her life, Allison is determined to keep the money in order to save her nephew. With danger stalking Allison and her rescuer, she comes up with a plan. But will it work? Can she outsmart the crooked city officials and defeat their plot?

Crooked politicians in the city government are contaminating the votes in a referendum in the exciting thriller, Plain Brown Wrapper by Greg Lynch. It is a 'seat of the pants' story, where the main character is untrained and naive, and tries to outsmart hardened criminals. Filled with suspense and action, the reader will find it hard to put this book down once they pick it up, anxious to find out if the protagonist wins. With interesting characters and a sound plot, this is a good read for those who enjoy an intense and suspenseful novel. There is some mature sexual content that is unsuitable for those under the age of eighteen.
