When a UFO crashes in England during the night, the leader of the spacecraft presented a dire warning to the people of Earth. A warning that devastation and destruction would come. Not having taken this visitor seriously, the people of Earth are now scrambling to find a defense team, plan, and ability to defeat this foreign enemy. How do you defeat an enemy in space? Sure, we have astronauts, and we have pilots and soldiers, but we don't have the technology, skills, or weaponry to advance a space trained army on the enemy, or do we? Who would create such a defense and technology? The United States? Britain? One of the other great international powers?

Prometheus Rebound (The Gryphens Duology) (Volume 1) written by R.L. Akers is an action–packed and thrilling science fiction novel introducing readers to the concept of military space travel and combat, space oriented enemies, advanced technology and weaponry, and well researched scientific facts. Author R.L. Akers takes science fiction to the next level and beyond, no pun intended, with the skillful, creative, and highly impressive character development, dialog and plot building within each page. A reader can expect to also experience a high level of secrecy, betrayal, and jealousy, along with many raw emotions like extreme fear and wretchedness. The amount of actual scientific knowledge and data the book contains is amazing. This allows for the book to almost be considered realistic. Although the book is pretty lengthy in the amount of pages, it is defiantly worth the read. Any reader who enjoys science fiction or military genre type books won't be disappointed when reading R.L. Akers' Prometheus Rebound (The Gryphens Duology) (Volume 1).
