Author Biography

I became a lawyer because I had a lifelong dream of changing the world. When I was recruited to teach leadership classes at a Fortune 50 company, it didn’t take me long to realize I could make a difference by shaping future leaders. Over the next 15 years, I worked hard to become the type of leader and person I wanted to be.

I have coached hundreds of executives and worked globally with companies and government agencies of all sizes. I am founder of Impact Leadership Solutions, a professional development firm specializing in executive coaching, leadership programs, and succession planning.

When not helping leaders, teams, and companies excel, I can be found chasing my two children, husband Steve, and yellow lab Henry around the Rocky Mountains.

"We judge ourselves by our intent. Others judge us by our actions," says Sonya, an executive coach, in (R)evolution: One Man's Leadership Journey by Anna Conrad. Sonya is hired by Tom's employer when his boss, Robert, is concerned about Tom's inability to grasp the company's people-centered work culture. Although Tom and his team consistently exceed their quota, his team members describe him as pushy and have requested transfers to other departments. Faced with termination, Tom reluctantly decides to address some issues that could not only derail his career, but affect his personal life. You will learn the importance of giving workers autonomy, how and why to wear three "hats," the value of feedback and how your stories and assumptions drive your current behaviour.

I loved (R)evolution: One Man's Leadership Journey from the moment I began reading it. The cover design was apt, thought provoking and eye catching. I immediately identified with Tom, as will the majority of readers. No one is perfect; all of us have area(s) in need of improvement. The pace was fast and the lessons were succinct. Each chapter of the 147-page career guide discussed a specific concern and highlighted takeaways that you could use immediately. Author Anna Conrad is a lawyer and founder of Impact Leadership Solutions. (R)evolution: One Man's Journey is a must-have tool. It is highly recommended for anyone who wants to reach their highest goals in business and life. Excellent work with practical takeaways.
