Meet Reese in the story Remarkable Reese: I Want to be a Police Officer by Lisa Wellcome. Reese's parents think she is remarkable which means Reese is wonderful and amazing. She thinks others are amazing too. Her parents think she can be anything when she grows up because she is smart, strong, and beautiful. Reese thinks she wants to be a police officer like Officer Jen who rides a shiny motorcycle. Reese thinks riding a motorcycle is cool and she likes the shiny badge on Officer Jen's uniform.

Reese wants to be a police officer to tell children it is important to sit in their car seats and stay buckled up. She will show them how to make an emergency call so that they feel safe. Remarkable Reese: I Want to be a Police Officer by Lisa Wellcome is empowering and gives young readers the confidence and courage to pursue their dreams and realize their self-worth. Ben Geiger's illustrations make Reese tangible and give the story a good pace and movement. The bright and colorful illustrations make the story appealing to children.
