Renouncing Holy Logic: Exposing the Secret Codes of Control, Power, Leadership and Success is a work of non-fiction in the self-help and motivational subgenres. It is suitable for the general reading audience and was penned by author Rami Anabusi. The book puts forward the idea that realism and simplification are the keys to self-discovery, with people on that journey who search for complex answers never being fully satisfied with what they find. By focusing on a simpler approach, the book aims to help readers discover who they are, what is holding them back, and what to do about it.

I love the awareness that this book has with regards to eschewing overly complex discussions that leave simple questions with complicated answers. By going for the approach that it does, Renouncing Holy Logic is able to create a journey for readers that anyone will be able to follow and find satisfying and fulfilling answers. The depth of the discussion is never compromised, and the tools are always available to apply teachings from the book to your own life to identify the changes that you need to make to be living a happier life. I truly believe that a person reading Renouncing Holy Logic will find the tools and motivation they need to start cultivating a new lifestyle for themselves that will be more rewarding and personally fulfilling, such is the accessibility of the advice and the excellent sense of perspective that Rami Anabusi provides on every page. Overall, it is an absolute must-read.

Renouncing Holy Logic guides readers to a reality in which they are able to get the most rewarding outcomes in life by employing self-discovery. Rami Anabusi shares the insights he gained from studying himself by looking back at different experiences in his life: his daredevil adventures that almost got him killed, his rebellious response to unfair teachers and bullies in gangs, miraculously surviving the explosion of an Israeli bus as a teen, impressing his father with his grades, losing job opportunities to racism, and much more. According to Rami Anabusi, the answers an individual needs to reduce pain and find true success are not found in general theories and philosophies; instead, this belief in general, complex logic could be renounced and exchanged for a belief in and study of self, which he exemplifies in his book.

It's hard to fault the idea that readers who search endlessly for answers in different books and seminars would find it easier to advance in life by analyzing their own experiences as they could read several books and still not be able to apply the information to themselves. Rami Anabusi's brilliant, introspective, and refreshingly original examination of his life inspired me to go on a similar journey of self-discovery. Renouncing Holy Logic contains engaging and profound insights on different stories and themes, including economics, business, politics, psychology, education, and society. A section at the end, which is dedicated to summaries, makes it easier to go through the points in each chapter. I recommend Renouncing Holy Logic to readers who have questions about free will, riches, hardship, success, logic, self-confidence, regret, bullying, relationships, and other important phenomena in life.

Leonard William Smuts

In this autobiographical account, Rami Anabusi lived his adventurous life as a defiant rebel - at times reckless - with a fair share of the trickster archetype thrown in. Renouncing Holy Logic is the result of hard-won experience - mainly tough. In the process, Rami escaped being killed in a bomb attack on a bus, avoided serious motor accidents, and was attacked by wasps! Rami’s rebellious youth led to confrontations with family, friends, and teachers. His frequent misdemeanors and challenges to authority were regularly rewarded with physical punishment. University life was equally daunting and being an Arab in Israel added to his sense of injustice. Graduating as an accountant and economist brought new challenges, despite him being an academically gifted student. Early business ventures proved that successful friendships do not always result in successful commercial partnerships. Despite the setbacks, Rami never gave up and life-changing experiences turned his world around, along with his mindset. Instead of failure, he was true to his innate belief in himself and prospered, despite the adversity.

In writing Renouncing Holy Logic, Rami Anabusi invites readers to rebel against the false logic that imprisons them. He points out that our current political, social, and economic paradigm is flawed and our leaders dangle what he calls plastic carrots to keep us enslaved. Instead, he proposes that we live a life of endless beginnings. His experiences remind us that some wounds are self-inflicted, but that valuable lessons should not be missed. To do this we should write our own books and decipher our own codes, based on our unique experiences. Logic is not divine but is an illusion that chains us to mediocrity and poverty. He questions the role of undue corporal punishment, which can have a negative effect and bring unintended consequences. Rami emphasizes that this is not a self-help book, but a tool to a greater understanding of the self. We all have free will and the ability to escape victimhood through being fierce disbelievers. The writing style echoes the determination of the author. It is punchy and at times humorous, as Rami reflects on his misadventures while encouraging his readers to abandon ignorance and limiting logic.
